Eight-year-old Aaron embarks on a quest to discover a secret cave on Galveston Beach, armed with stories from his Grandpa and a blue backpack. Inside the cave, he encounters a mystical sea turtle who presents him with a vision in a glowing pool of water. The vision imparts a valuable lesson about the significance of honesty and unity. Leaving the cave, Aaron reaches a nearby village where the villagers are grappling with changing tides and scarce fish. A young woman named Elara is rallying the villagers to take action. Inspired by his experience, Aaron offers to help and together they plan to investigate the sea’s changes. As they prepare, an ominous sound from the sea signals the start of their greater adventure. Aaron’s journey thus becomes intertwined with restoring harmony to the village and the sea.
