Young Jonas, who lives in New York City, enjoys the daily adventures the city offers. One day, he finds a magical key in a park fountain, and despite his efforts, he can’t find what the key opens. He returns to the park and discovers a door that opens to a magical version of the city. There, he finds children who can’t open a lock to their playground. Inspired by the heroes in the books he reads, Jonas doesn’t give up and eventually opens the lock with the help of the children. Having had an extraordinary day, Jonas learns the power of patience, perseverance, and not giving up.
