Larry, a young boy living in Chicago, dreams of becoming the city’s best skateboarder. Despite some initial challenges and falls, Larry practices every day at Grant Park, eventually catching the attention of a group of older boys. They encourage him to attempt a large ramp, which he succeeds in navigating after a shaky start. Larry’s newfound confidence leads him to enter a local skateboarding competition. In the days leading up to the competition, Larry meets and befriends Emily, a fellow competitor, and they encourage each other to improve their skills. On the day of the competition, Larry impresses the crowd and a renowned pro skater who is a guest judge. The pro skater invites Larry to join him in a special exhibition round at a major event, marking the start of Larry’s journey to becoming a professional skateboarder.
