Eight-year-old Marc embarks on an adventure in New York City and ends up helping a lost dog, Buddy, find its owner. Inspired by a book about local mysteries, he decides to explore an old clock tower rumored to house a secret chamber and mysterious artifact linked to unusual events in the city. Marc manages to solve a puzzle and opens a door to the chamber where he finds an ornate box. Inside the box is a cloth-wrapped object. Suddenly, a figure introduces herself as Elara, claiming to have been watching Marc and stating that the box and its contents are bound to both of their paths. The object, she explains, is a legacy that could be game-changing, depending on who wields it. As Marc reaches for the box again, the chamber rumbles and the clock’s gears start turning, suggesting the start of a larger adventure.
